Overview of beer styles and their representatives on the blog.

 

The following list is based on the categories of beer styles according to BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program – non-profit organisation that certifies and ranks beer judges).

 

Each link refers to a page a short description of style and a list of beers, which reviews I posted on this blog.

 

Abbreviations in the table indicate:

  • ABV – (Alcohol By Volume) alcohol content relative to the volume expressed in percentage;
  • IBU – (International Bittering Units) International units of bitterness; units IBU mean a degree of hopping / bitterness in beer: 1 IBU represents the content of one milligram of iso-alpha acids derived from hops in 1 liter of beer;
  • SRM – (Standard Reference Method) notation system of beer colour.
